Abstraction is not an easy thing to do. Not everything you see can be translated and interpreted where the viewer can feel and understand what they are looking at. It takes skill to hide a punch line. Meet Bryan Valdez, LA based Latino-American painter. Bryan likes to paint on large canvases where he embraces negative space. His adept application of paints ranging from acrylic to oil to aerosol neatly describes his aesthetic which defines our contemporary times.
